Does opening the windows reduce radon?

Opening the windows will improve air circulation in the house, which helps to dilute radon concentration in the house temporarily. So, while you may notice reduced accumulation of radon when the windows are closed, the levels return to normal about 12 hours after closing the windows.

Also, in theory, leaving windows open might increase radon testing levels in your home. This is because opening the windows creates a pressure difference between the soil and the house which causes more radon gas to be sucked into your living space.
